Revive and Repair Summer Damaged Skin to Get Your Glow Back

By September 12, 2018 Uncategorized No Comments

Nothing shouts “I’ve just been on holiday” like a beautiful bronzed glow. But, as hard as we try during the summer months to protect ourselves from the suns damaging rays, most us of will experience some sign of damage to our skin. A huge 80% of visible ageing is caused by sunlight and sadly ladies and gents there’s no such thing as a damage-free sun tan, unless it comes from a bottle!

What causes skin damage?

You might think being a sun worshipper in you 20’s isn’t having an effect, but did you know you don’t notice the true effects of sun damage until around 10 years later? As 30 hits you’ll begin to notice premature lines and wrinkles and as you head into the 40’s most likely the addition of saggy, lined skin.

This damage is caused by the UVA rays emitted by the sun causing photoaging in the form of brown spots, coarse skin and wrinkles, whether you have burned your skin or not. When the rays penetrate the skin, they affect healthy cell growth and the stimulation of collagen and elastin, key to young, healthy looking skin. Plus, the overproduction of melanin which is the reason for our tanned skin results in hyperpigmentation and dark spots.

What can you do if the damage has already been done?

If you’ve had too much fun in the sun and are now seeing the consequences, help is at hand! Whatever stage your skin is at or damage concern, we offer some amazing specialist skin treatments in our Buckingham beauty salon to help you get your glow back.

Acting like a real skin workout, the motorized flaps awaken the natural synthesis of essential rejuvenating substances. This cell stimulation then helps rejuvenating cells, to boost their production of collagen (firmness), elastin (suppleness), and hyaluronic acid (volume and hydration), naturally present in our skin.Endermologie face

For sun spots and hyperpigmentation: IPL Skin rejuvenation

This Ellipse treatment is clinically proven to treat sun damage skin, and help you look younger and fresher with removal of uneven pigmentation and sun spots. Many also highly commend it for making make-up application easier, looking smoother too.

How does it work?

The flash-lamp in the Ellipse IPL system produces light that heats up the melanin and haemoglobin, the causes of age spots and redness. When the cells are hit with the light it destroys them therefore removing age spots and redness.Ellipse Skin Rejuvenation
